Request for proposals

PostgreSQL Conference 2009 Japan is a worldwide conference for users
and developers of PostgreSQL, a leading relational
database. PostgreSQL Conference 2009 Japan will be the place to meet,
discuss, and gain valuable insight. It is important to note that
PostgreSQL has 30% of the market share of Linux platform users in
Japan. Moreover, there is a lot of large scale case studies. This
Conference will provide an excellent chance to get to know the
Japanese PostgreSQL market. So, Please come to the international
Conference on PostgreSQL held for the first time in Japan. PostgreSQL
Conference 2009 Japan will be held on November 20 and 21, 2009 at AP
Hamamatsucho (Tokyo).

In the conference each session is 50 or 20 minutes long with
concurrent interpretation. 20 minutes session will be more suitable
for case studies or smaller topics.

We are now accepting proposals for talks. Please send us a proposal.
Anything related to PostgreSQL can be the topic of the proposal.

Topic examples include:

- topics on tuning or database management
- large scale PostgreSQL case studies
- developing PostgreSQL
- developing PostgreSQL applications
- migration from another database
- data warehose, BI(Business Intelligence)
- PostGIS
- clustering/replication
- hardware (for example SSD)
- non techinical things (PostgreSQL communities for example)

(these are just examples and topics are not necessarily limited to
them)

Submission deadline is June 30th, 2009 17:00 JST.

with following information:

Your company or organization name
Your name
Session title
Abstract (up to several hundred words)
Session type (long/short)

Submission deadline is June 30th, 2009 17:00 JST. Please send your
proposal as soon as possible. Please note that if you are selected as
a speaker at the conference, the addmission fee will be exempted (it
will be around 10,000 Japanese yen, which is about US $102.04
according to today's rate).
