Hello,
I try install postgres on windows 2000 with cugwin, however configure
fail when checking for ld, it seems to be blocked in a infinite loop.
any idea ?

Did you forget to install binutils? Did you forget to install cygipc?

BTW, why don't you just use the pre-built 7.1.3 that is part of the
Cygwin standard distribution?
