Folks,

The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/home_en.html
is available for proposals. I'm wondering if our european postgresql
organizations would participate in FP7. Russian could also participate
but as international partner. I think it's great opportunity for
european to support adoption of OSS and PostgreSQL in particular.
Perhaps SPI should centralize the effort.

I have been looking at this for some time. I shared this idea with some
community members, too. The idea is making project plans for new
PostgreSQL features, and let EU fund these through a company.

BTW, this requires a big paperwork...
