You will need the latest version of gnome's libxml which is version 2.4.14
ftp://speakeasy.rpmfind.net/pub/libxml/ (seattle mirror)
that should solve the problem...

im currently re installing my php but when i tried to add --with-dom
parameters in ./configure it gave me the ff errors
configure: error: Please reinstall the libxml >= 2.4.2 distribution
i already have the latest libxml 1.18.17-6 installed
ive also reinstalled it
what must i do
help

hi everyone,
just wanted everyone to know that i finally solved my libxml problem.
For those people who are encountering this problem or who will encounter
this problem php doesnt wat libxml or libxml2 ... it actually wants
libxml2-devel which in turn needs zlib1
