Great opportunity with a NYC based financial firm. This Is a full time on premise role.

* 5-7 years as an Postgres Database Administrator ( knowledge of version 9.2 )
* Exceptional experience administering various multi-Terabyte, 24x7 uptime PostgresSQL databases as a Systems/Infra DBA required
* Strong, proven Database Performance Diagnostic skills (at both the SQL and system levels) required
* Strong programming experience in PL/SQL and UNIX Shell Scripting and/or Python (preferably) required
* Extensive experience with Backup and Recovery using Oracle RMAN.
* Self-starter capability, ability to acquire new skills autonomously.
* Experience working with Oracle versions 11gR1/2 in a UNIX environment required
Demonstrably solid written and verbal communication skills to drive projects to successful conclusion
