Title: Postgres DBA in Berlin, Germany

kaufDA the innovative, multiple award-winning online user portal, which informs the user comfortably and up-to-the-minute about the local shopping facilities is currently recruiting a Postgres DBA for its office in Berlin, Germany.

In order to further our speedy growth, we are looking for a qualified and reliable Postgres DBA who is interested in working for an internationally expanding company. As a Postgres DBA you are in charge of the operation of the kaufDA products and you develop solutions for an efficient server administration.

At the moment we are working with the following systems:
PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Puppet, Apache httpd, Tomcat, Squid-Cache, Icinga, Graylog2, KVM+Ganeti, Debian, RHEL, Akamai, CDN, Amazon Web Services.

Your future tasks include but are not limited to:
• Responsibility for the ongoing optimization of our Postgres cluster
• You ensure the smooth operations of the kaufda.de platform
• You are a part of the operations and form a team in collaboration with our developers
• All administrative tasks will be completed with the config-management-system puppet
• You will plan the infrastructure and train the new, regional sysadmins for future launches in other countries
• Scaling, high availability, backup-strategy
• Supporting and designing of the internationalization strategy
• Automatic monitoring of the server services
• Process automation of the server-administration
