Job Description:

Client is re-writing an existing application to allow for functionality that the customers clients want/need in an effort to make the application more profitable. This system is integrated with POS software which allows real time processing and reporting of digital offers like coupons, buy 2 get one free, rebates etc. for retail customers.

Primary development language is Python Django framework and primary databases are MySQL and PostgreSQL. The solution sits on top of Amazon Web Services.

Developer will design, develop, test, and deliver artifacts to be deployed by the client's Data Management Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PostgreSQL development and python or similar scripting languages. The candidate will also work with product owners and application development team members to size efforts, collect requirements, and document the solutions.

ETL Software Development (in Python) with a focus on low-latency, low-impact data flow.
- Design, Development and Testing of PostgreSQL artifacts.
- Provide schema design feedback and database performance recommendations.
- Provide technical recommendations for the PostgreSQL environment.
