Thanks for those who responded. It works fine and lasts a long time.
The following script does NOT require any editing. It simply executes
and works.

select 'drop function ' || nspname || '.' || proname || '(' ||
pg_catalog.oidvectortypes(p.proargtypes) || ') CASCADE;' from
