PostgreSQL Software Engineer position in Sydney

Experienced Oracle + PostgreSQL DBA required immediately. Help design, manage, and scale the database behind an internationally recognised project management system, based in our Lane Cove office:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented DBA. You will help design, manage and scale the database behind our internationally recognised online project management system. Our company, client base, and database are growing at around 125 percent pa, so be prepared for a dynamic, high pressure, but rewarding environment.

 

You will come to this role with:
* some Oracle or Postgres DBA experience, preferably both.
* excellent uni grades
* an interest in database design and optimisation
* an ability to design and manage systems for maximum availability
* a desire to learn and commitment to excellence

 

You might be:

* A PostgreSQL expert looking for new challenges, or

* A PostgreSQL beginner, but willing to learn

 

We have some very interesting database projects on the drawing-board, working closely with Fujitsu. You will have the opportunity to work with the local support and development arm of PostgreSQL to build a unique distributed database architecture to support our rapid global expansion.
