Software Engineer

 

Successful candidate will be responsible for design and development of various applications at icrossing. These applications include web based and non-web based components.  Must utilize and practice standard software development methodologies, under the guidance of Team Lead and VP of Engineering. Must be willing to learn and work with other team members to support our business requirements. Must be able to work with relational databases.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving programming environments
• Ability to efficiently develop detailed technical specifications from higher level requirements

• Ability to efficiently develop detailed technical specifications from higher level designs

• Design, code, and test a variety of custom business applications
• Work with peers to facilitate system integration
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent level of experience
• 5+ Years - Designing and developing Java and J2EE applications
• 5+ Years - JAVA, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, RMI, JDBC

• 5+ Years - XML, XSL, Web Services

• Object oriented design using design patterns

• Object oriented modeling with UML

• SQL experience

• Familiarity with HTML and _javascript_

• Version control tools such as CVS

• IDE such as Eclipse
• Strong familiarity with Linux-based environments

• Large-scale, high traffic web applications

PREFERRED SKILLS

 

• PostgreSQL Experience

• Tomcat, Apache

• Hands-on data modeling/data design experience
