I assume this happens before you are presented with
even the first dialog box?
Please try running the installer with logging
enabled:
msiexec /l* c:\pginstlog.txt /i
c:\where\ever\postgresql-8.0.0-beta4.msi
That should produce a logfile that will hopefully point
you in the direction of what's wrong
//Magnus
I've been able to install version 8.0.0 beta
4 on two machines but the third one fails. The Windows Installer starts
but after a few seconds the installer widow disappears.
I'm using Win2K with all current service
packs.
Any ideas on what is wrong or how I can make
this work?
TIA.
