The following bug has been logged online: Bug reference: 4205 Logged by: Bomken Basar Email address: bomken(dot)basar(at)telelogic(dot)com PostgreSQL version: 8.0 Operating system: windows xp Description: Unable to restore database Details: I tried to upgrade to postgres 8.2.7 from 8.0 but got the error. Then I tried to restore the db in 8.0 but I got the following error: pg_restore: [custom archiver] could not read data block -- expected 4096, got 290 pg_restore: *** aborted because of error This is new to me and looks like a bug.
