The following bug has been logged online: Bug reference: 3989 Logged by: Email address: jeffh(at)insightds(dot)com PostgreSQL version: 8.3 Release Operating system: Vista Description: Error when Installing Details: When trying to install the new release of Postgres 8.3 I'm getting this error: ------------------------------------------------ "Failed to run initdb: 1! Please see the logfile in 'C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3RC2\tmp \initdb.log' Note! You must read/copy this logfile before you click OK, or it will be automatically removed." ------------------------------------------------ Previous versions of Postgres install fine.
