FreeBSD 4.x pthreads issues

It looks like bug 1473
(http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-bugs/2005-02/msg00143.php) is
causing octopus to fail
(http://pgbuildfarm.org/cgi-bin/show_log.pl?nm=octopus&dt=2005-07-07%2018:05:02).
I suspect I can change config options or what-not to make the build
work, but I'm not sure if that would just be masking something that's
actually a problem.

Is this still considered a bug? Should I leave octopus as-is or try and
fix my configuration?
