Bizgres MPP - Public Beta

After 2 years of development, Greenplum is happy to announce the
availability of Bizgres MPP Beta for download!

If you are currently using a database larger than 100GB for data mining /
decision support or business intelligence and are having performance
challenges, Bizgres MPP can help you get your work done faster with less
effort.  MPP is not a solution for speeding OLTP throughput, but excels at
processing queries that use large amounts of data.
 
Bizgres MPP provides parallel database features that have previously been
reserved for multi-million dollar mainframes, now available as enhanced
PostgreSQL software.  Bizgres MPP is the fastest parallel DBMS for large
databases! Expect these benefits:
- All CPUs on a single host work on each query
- Add hosts to grow data and speed queries
- Use multiple hosts to increase reliability

Pricing is based on the number of CPUs used for production use.  Use of
Bizgres MPP for development of applications not in production use is
permitted under our commercial license terms.  Participants in this Beta
will qualify for a discounted license fee in exchange for feedback on the
product.
