It was implied to me that PGEU was meant to be the European SPI for
PostgreSQL. If that is not the case, then a lot of my arguments are
probably not relevant. If that is the case, I believe my arguments are
valid.

My only point is that physical presence isn't required to be useful :).
Anyway I think your points are absolutely essential. Perhaps I am
misinformed to the purpose of the group.

We have a global group :) that's postgresql.org. Again I have no
problem whatsoever with execution of a PostgreSQL EU. I applaud it and
frankly think it is about time.
