I think I know that the server is listening at the default port 5432, and I have switched off my windows firewall too, but I am not too sure what I can do next.
Please post a copy of your pg_hba.conf file and postgresql.conf, and tell us the IP addresses of the client and server so we can check the config looks correct. If any of that is sensitive info, feel free to mail it to me privately.
