Fixed for HEAD and 1.4.2, thanks for reporting.
2. Connection pull down menu too wide and need too rare.
Maybe for you.
IMHO best solution move it in 'File' menu for making button panel more short/brief.
Even on a 640x480 screen there's enough space. No reason to change it. Regards, Andreas
